One easy step to get kids excited about starting their Reception School this September.

The other day we walked passed a boy wearing his school uniform. I explained to Ethan that he too has to wear one when September come. He exclaimed “What? Like that white shirt with nothing on it? No Dinosaurs picture? Nothing at all?!”

“Yes”. So the very next day we went shopping for his school uniform. I bought some from his school last week with their logo on them, so I was hoping that there wasn’t much else to buy. Oh! How wrong was I?! First, I looked at our local Charity shops nearby but they seem to have sold out all of his size. Let this be a lesson… Don’t wait until the last minute! Ethan was disappointed and was giving me one of those puppy eyes look. This only fuel his hunger for his new school uniform even more so. He wanted it. And I wanted him to be excited for his new school. Then by chance , we stopped off at Matalan as we were on our journey back home from Ethan’s swimming lesson. Then I it hit me… I need to buy two of everything, plus shoes! Oh deary me… It has gotten a little bit rather expensive as a result. And we still need socks! Dear Matalan, if you are reading this, please by all means you are more than welcome to send us some socks to try out. (wink wink). 😉 We need white or dark navy blue please. 

Anyhow, you guessed it, one easy step to get kids excited about starting their Reception School this September is to get them dressed into their school uniform!

Without further or do, let me present you (from left to right)…

1. The summer/ indoor outfit: no sweater, just a plain white polo neck short arms shirt worn with a pair of long grey smart trousers.
2. The winter outfit with a sweater.
3. The winter outfit with a cardigan.
4. The PE Kit.
